Ornamental Plant and Seed Suppliers

This is hands down the best rose supplier I have ever bought from. If you love english roses - you can't get healthier or more quickly-establishing roses than their bare-root varieties.

Johnny's Selected Seeds

A good place to get fresh seed with good germination rates - especially in bulk quantities - for a really good price. I suspect most of the Etsy shops I have bought seeds from who don't grown their own are supplying from Johnny's. Company is 100% employee-owned.

New Garden Plants

Really excellent quality plants, the prices are cheap for an online nursery. A good place to find many different cultivars of geums and coneflowers and other varieties you can't find locally. Highly recommend!!

Heirloom roses specializes in own root roses, potted 1-gallon, and have a large number of varieties for sale. I have several in my garden and all have done well. Their David Austin varieties are much more expensive than buying from David Austin directly, and are slower to establish.

Blooming Bulb

Blooming bulb is an interesting company. I have ordered from them and I was highly skeptical because I got hard to find Siberian iris root divisions for something ridiculous like 3 for $5. While prices have risen since then, they are still one of the cheapest places I have found for a lot of bulbs. So I suspect the quality control upon shipping is not amazing, and their inventory may age a bit while waiting to ship. On my first order with them, I was highly disappointed with the product. Maybe 4 of the 20 bulbs I bought looked alive. I emailed the company and received a prompt response. They have a full replacement guarantee. I told the rep how many plants arrived dead, and they were promptly reshipped - the next batch looked amazing and had around 95% survival rate.
